In October of 1995 Doug Zell and Emily Mange left San Francisco to open an in-store coffee roaster-retailer on Broadway Avenue on the north side of Chicago. Since then a lot has changed and they’ve brought their great concept to the West Coast with locations in Venice, Pasadena, and Silverlake. We recognize the farm as the source of the quality and we work tirelessly to make sure that quality is preserved as it travels by sea and land to our roasters. Phil Jaber went on a quest 25 years ago to make a really great cup of coffee. Phil wanted to make sure the coffee making process embodied a personal and social feel, so he designed his own coffee station allowing for every cup to be crafted one cup at a time. At Philz, their mission is to better people’s days, and promise that any way you have your coffee, will make it perfect. They roast their our own coffees at their roasting plant in Oakland, California. Every blend is individually roasted with care and sent immediately to packaging to keep the quality as fresh as possible.

Seaworth Coffee is inspired by a common love of the sea and a somewhat uncommon love of handcrafted cold-brewed coffee. Though gaining popularity on the East Coast and the Pacific North West, they couldn't find decent cold-brew in Southern California. So they set out on a mission: to create a delicious, top-quality cold brew coffee that would reflect the beautiful sunshine and good-spirit of the Golden State. So through a relentless process of experimenting with different beans, roasting methods and brewing methods, they did it. They decided to give it a name that paid tribute to our favorite pastime and the rich surf culture of California.
